PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Conduct the conceptual and detail design for the Solosolo water supply scheme. Key project details involved the hydraulic design and pipeline sizing to cater for the number of household families (demand), design of new water source catchments (intakes) and concrete tanks. KEW Consult Ltd was awarded this contract in the year 2012.
PROJECT SERVICES:
Design, Construction and Supervision of 7 km of pipelines ranging from sizes DN15 to DN150, uPVC as well as Polyethylene type including house connections and also rehabilitation of 2 storage tanks and three rehabilitated spring intakes and 1 new Break pressure tank. The scheme will accomodate water supply needs to some 1,700 people of the village of Solosolo, Anoamaa, North East of Upolu Island, Samoa. The project was a joint effort of the Independent Water Scheme Association and the Solosolo village water committee but all under the overall project management of the Ministry of Women, Community & Social Development.
