Samoa Road Asset Management System

This project is part of the Transport and Infrastructure Sector Reform and Strengthening Services, it is focussed on developing and strengthening the capacity of the Ministry in managing its assets and reviving the computerized asset management system that was installed some years ago.
The project is also aiming at establishing a new organisation, the Land Transport Authority (LTA), to deal with assets management and licensing.

Project Description:

This project, that is part of the Transport and Infrastructure Sector Reform and Strengthening Services, is focusing on developing and strengthening the capacity of the Ministry in managing its assets and reviving the computerized asset management system that was installed some years ago.

The project is also aiming at establishing a new organisation, the Land Transport Authority (LTA), to deal with assets management and licensing.

Main Tasks under this Project Include:

Designing the asset management structure;

Drafting job descriptions;

Assist in formulating policies for assets management;

Identifying maintenance and rehabilitation treatments currently used throughout Samoa.


Project Services:

Provide assistance in the development of the LTA structure and the update of the computerised assets management system;

Conduct road survey and assessment of current practices and formulate recommendations.
