PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Falling under the IWSA project banner, the scope of the current project is the supervision of the construction of water scheme storage tanks and break pressure tanks installations, the construction of associated transmission and distribution mains, and of the rehabilitation/construction of associated intakes and access roads in near Eva and Lauli’i villages. Supervision contract started on November 2012 as the contractor (Kings Construction Ltd) began works signing memorandum of understanding with respective villages.
The key elements of the Works to be carried out for the Lauli’i water supply upgrade included:
Installation of 1 storage and 1 sedimentation tanks (60m3) at Lauli’i.
Installation of 1 new break pressure tank at Lauli’i
Construction of 3 new water intakes at Lauli’i & Eva
Installation and rehabilitation of water transmission and distributions mains.
Household connections to the new pipeline.
Pressure Testing of all pipelines
