

Vaisigano Drainage Upgrade in the Vaisigano River Coastal Area
The Drainage Upgrades are being implemented to improve the Storm-Water Drainage in the Apia/Vaisigano region. There has been considerable flooding in the past, around the Apia region during the wet and dry season. The installation of an effective storm-water drainage system is expected to reduce the negative impacts of this major issue in the low-lying areas of Apia

Project Description:
The Drainage Upgrades are being implemented to improve the Storm-Water Drainage in the Apia/Vaisigano region. There has been considerable flooding in the past, around the Apia region during the wet and dry season. The installation of an effective storm-water drainage system is expected to reduce the negative impacts of this major issue in the low-lying areas of Apia.
This Project has been segmented into 9 sites as listed below:
Convent St/ Mulivai; Savalalo St; Beach Rd/ RSA; Tanoa Hotel/Malaefatu Reserve; Australian High Commission; NZ High Commission; Bistro Tatau/ ASCO Motors Intersection; Beach Rd/ Cathedral Mulivai; Bus Terminal/ Fish Market
Project Services:
Developing an Environmental Management Plan to be followed for Sustainability
Drone operation to get clear aerial images & footages of the 9 sites so to plan and incorporate the different obstacles into the planning process such as traffic, pedestrians, etc.
Consultation with Potential Affected Parties (e.g. Businesses, residential buildings and landowners, etc.)
Supervision of civil works to be conducted and liaisoning with Associates in NZ and Clients.
